What is the role of the body and DMT in your practice?
DMT enables clients to use creativity as a part of exploring emotions. It can be a non-verbal way of communicating any presenting issues. I believe that the body holds a lot of memories and unprocessed emotions, and using movement as a tool can help individuals explore these deeply. The role of Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) and the body in this practice is fundamental. DMT can allow the body to facilitate emotional, cognitive, and physical integration. By engaging in DMT, clients can access and express feelings that might be difficult to articulate verbally. This approach not only aids in emotional release a but can also promote overall well-being, enhancing self-awareness, and fostering personal growth.
